DIE DEUTSCHE WOCHENSCHAU, 22.3.1945, Die Kinder waren Hitlers Soldaten in seinen letzten Tagen. Die Hitler-Jugend bildete ein großer Teil der letzten Zeile der deutschen Abwehr, und Berichten zufolge wurden bei den heftigsten Kämpfer. Der Stadtkommandant, General Helmuth Weidling, befahl Axmann, die Hitler-Jugend Kampfverbände aufzulösen, sondern der Auftrag wurde nie durchgeführt, und viele mehr Hitlerjugend tapfer starben bei der Verteidigung Berlins Straße um Straße vor der stetig vorrückenden sowjetischen Armee.

In seinem letzten öffentlichen Auftritt, nur zehn Tage vor seinem Tod, wagte Adolf Hitler aus seinem Berliner Bunker auf seinen 56. Geburtstag in der Reichskanzlei Garten bis zwölf-jährigen Hitlerjungen mit Eiserne Kreuze schmücken für ihren Heldenmut bei der Verteidigung von Berlin. Die außergewöhnliche Veranstaltung wurde auf Film aufgenommen und bleibt eine der denkwürdigsten Bilder Chronik der traurigen letzten Tage des Hitler-Reiches, als die stolzen Führer gesehen wird gratuliert den tapferen Jungen mit großer Bewunderung. Sie wurden dann wieder auf die Straße geschickt, um den aussichtslosen Kampf fortzusetzen.

THE GERMAN NEWSREEL, 03/22/1945, The children were Hitler's soldiers in his last days. The Hitler Youth was a big part of the last line of German defenses, and were reportedly among the fiercest fighters. The Captain-General Helmuth Weidling ordered Axmann, the Hitler Youth desolve combat units, but the order was never carried out, and many more Hitler Youth died bravely in the defense of Berlin street by street from the ever-advancing Soviet army.

In his last public appearance, just ten days before his death, Adolf Hitler have ventured from his Berlin bunker on his 56th Birthday in the Chancellery garden to twelve-year-old Hitler Youth decorated with Iron Crosses for their heroism in the defense of Berlin. The extraordinary event was captured on film and remains one of the most memorable images chronicle the sad last days of Hitler's empire, is seen as 'the proud" leader congratulates the brave boys with great admiration. They were then sent back to the streets to continue the hopeless struggle.

@Utubetrekk I still say the children are but what their parents and peers , the role models they had , plus to a degree genes however they did not know of the horror of the Death Camps to envision their own family's being destroyed in misery as the six million Jews and others totalling over a million more were by the Nazi's under the

direct orders of The Fuhrers, number two man, Dr. Heinrich Himmler. who oversaw the mass murders directly.

@MissAdolphHitler1988 Thank you Melanie, I'm also a Jew and I'm also a world traveler and been to several countries. The lesson to learn from this is that history has a habit of repeating itself, what happened in Germany can and most likely to happen again.
