Redrock M2/Encore upgrade comparison

I just upgraded my M2 depth of field adapter to the M2 Encore. Prior to my purchase, I couldn't find anything online that justified the upgrade price of almost £600. This test compares the image before and after the upgrade. The improvement in sharpness and additional light is incredible. I now feel my adapter retains the sharpness and quality of HD from my HMC151. Infact i would go as far to say that the image quality coming out my camera has improved because of the sharpness in the area of focus. I hope this comparison helps you and hopefully i'll go shoot something proper with the kit and get something up here soon.

Hi i have old M2 and thnking about upgrade too i see the clock video, from the redrock page and it looks like the new one is "2stops better" but when i pause your video at 0:35 it looks maybe 2/3 stop better so does the clock video lie? can you upload some other comparisions? thank u very much for answer! (of course i see that the sharpness and vignetting is better but this loosing light is biggest problem for me)

Jarisko, I don't have time to do any more comparisons or an original M2 to do them with. I highly recommend getting upgrade. Although costly, it was one of the best decisions i made in terms of kit expenditure. I found the difference dramatic.
