  • Hemp oil and hemp seed are such an important part of the food chain. As a vegetarian, I would love to think that I could have a ready source of both products! As someone who lives in constant pain as the result of an accident, I now know why the need fro the legalization of medical marijuana is a necessity, not just a frivolous option for "potheads!" So I salute you Alex White Plume because your effort to maintain a business where others fail, and support you in your fight to make a living.

  • GROW ALEX GROW...

  • Fantastic Documentary Film. I saw this on PBS as many have; It is very complete and teaches so much. There is a lot more to it than the hemp, but something about 'that' -which was mentioned was important to know: The DEA would only come and take the hemp when it was ready for picking. (Why do they never pluck it when it is 8 inches high?). Which country has the most Freedom? CERTAINLY not the USA. (& especially to the ones that actually the rightful owners of the land)

  • our gov. is out of control it is time we take it back. they have no authority to do what they did. you violated no one and the gov. violated you. the gov. clearly created a crime and you are clearly the victom!

  • Thank you for creating this wonderful film. This is something all Americans should see.

  • Standing Silent Nation is in the Austin Film Festival (10/14), the Taos Mountain Film Festival (early October) and just won the High Times 2007 Stony Award for Best Documentary! Check it out if you can.

  • This film is overwhelming and inspiring. It depicts the realities faced by the Nation's, Native American people and federal denial of their soveereign rights. It is a must see. Pass the word!!! The injustice must stop.

  • Just watched the program on PBS POV. I highly recommend watching this. The Indigenous Tribes of of this country are national treasures. The wealth of cultural diversity contained within these tribes is invaluable to the fabric of our nation. We need to protect their cultural inheritance by ensuring that our government provides them the independence to govern themselves. Otherwise, the pressures of society will wash away their heritage, until they are indistinct.
