One of many projects Quincy Jones had at Mercury was to re-record the many hits of Dinah Washington for a definitive collection of the Queens music. This began with sessions in the late summer of 1961 with the finest of New Yorks Jazz players. Quincy rearranged all the hits, and called on the Dells to add their uptown jazz approach to the backing vocals. The results were quite good as evidenced by this track done in September of that year. Some of the other reworked hits were included on 'The Dinah Washington Story' Enjoy one of my faves from The Queen.
