We have been to Washington...We have warned them...Even the State of Virginia will never pull over a defective trailer or an overloaded trailer.. They even allow you to build one homemade!!

n Omaha man was counting his blessings Friday after getting an unusual and scary surprise during his drive in to work.
Charlie Colon commutes to Omaha from Lincoln via I-80 to his job at Gallup. Despite the day being Friday the 13th, Colon said he's not much of superstitious guy, but after what happened he's thankful to be alive.

"It just made a sound, I thought I probably just popped my left front tire. When I got down here to Gallup I open up my back door just to see, just to grab my briefcase and then I realized what I had ran over actually shot through the bottom of the car."
Colon found a chunk of metal road debris gouged through the outside of his car and into his back seat. "Obviously something coming in at that pace is going to leave a mark, that's a huge piece of metal."
Colon didn't see the debris when he hit it between 60th and 42nd streets on I-80 and didn't notice it until he parked the car.
"That's probably the most unnerving part is you can see where it entered is obviously right under my driver's seat." Colon doesn't know where the chunk of metal came from, but now he's got one heck of a story. "But just the size of it, I mean it's just unbelievable."
Colon's co-workers took to the lighter side. "They want to hear the story, they try and figure out what name I should give my guardian angel. A couple of people told me that they lost a sword on I-80 and wanted to know if I found it by chance."
A Friday the 13th Colon will never forget. "Yeah, I definitely feel lucky. I mean I think that there is something to be said about Friday the 13th, but I'm going to run with I'm the luckiest guy on the planet today, that's for sure."
Colon plans to keep the memory in his house. "It's bizarre, it's kind of random, I'm sure in 20 years I'll still have this thing still hanging in my garage somewhere."
Colon said the piece of metal is part of some sort of welding material. More importantly, he's thankful no one else hit it and that no one got hurt.
Yea that piece of metal must have come from a trailer.. This website and videos are dumb.

Why do you think everything has to do with a dangerous trailer? Dont you have ANYTHING better to do with your time. What dues a piece of angle iron going into his car have to do with trailers other then nothing. It was a piece of trash it could have happend to anyone.
