First: Go to http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#en-US and download your version
Second: Move your file to your desktop and extract it
Third: Open Terminal and type this sudo apt-get remove openoffice*.* to remove the old one
Fourth: Paste this after: sudo dpkg -i ~/Desktop/OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/*.deb

Finally: Paste after: sudo dpkg -i ~/Desktop/OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/desktop-integration/openoff­ice.org3.2-debian-menus_3.2-9472_all.deb

  • Thanks for the video but one question, I have the 64 bit version of Ubuntu and want to download the Dutch version of OO.o. This one however, is only version 3.1.1. Is it also possible to download the 32 bit version on my 64 bit machine?

  • @bartjoboy I think it is. I haven't used 64 bit machine. But i think you can. If not then just install the 3.1.1

  • this would have been a good video but u can't hear or understand him and he moves SO fast it's useless to even try to figure out what he's done.

  • @IPWNED This is for Ubuntu, a GNU/Linux based Operating system. :P You should just take the Windows file (the first row).
