@Munson83 The Black Keys are technically better and they are far groovier (they have a proper drummer), but there is just something so very primal and raw about the White Stripes so both are amazing duos.

your useless for saying that ,she was the deadly soul hidden beneath the show, without her the light wouldn't shine as bright. i like both these bands and saw the black keys live really damn good , white stripes had more meaning in there lyrics i find but cant say there's no meaning here i really like both but the white stripes came first and personally means more to me .

WTF is wrong?!
Patrick drums as if he is fucking crazy sometimes, and that is appealing. Meg sometimes drum as if she just wants to beat the shit out of the drums themselves - and that is also quite appealing to me.
No amazing "techique" in itself, though, is appealing to me.

Why this band rocks: Both of the guys are very from another time. They remind me of Led Zeppelin. A crappy drummer has no where to hide here. A weak guitar player either. These guys are very good and have charisma and sex appeal. The drummer is no doubt fed on Bonham. They ooze heavy rock and blues. I guarantee they love good ole' Robert Johnson with just him and a guitar. These boys have paid attention to their elders and are delivering undiluted serving of rock and roll. BRAVO!!

The Keys and The Stripes have two totally different sounds, they just both happen to be based in blues. People need to stop comparing, you'll either prefer one or the other. Can't say one is that much better than the other.
