I was there when the video was being made. What a lot of fun that was. I believe he sang this song 3 times to make sure they got all the shots they needed for the video ... :)

I saw him in concert a few years ago. He came on right before Rascal Flatts. He played this song and nearly broke out in tears. It was so sad. Such a great musician

@mruniguy thats because its not actually about airplanes. Its about his wife who he met on a plane. She was a steward on the flight he was on. She killed herself a couple years back. And now hes saying that he watches airplanes, because they remind him of her.
