  • @brandyglasshalffull that and motorex fucked up so the feds were like eff this. NO MORE SKYLINES. well. till they are 25 years old

  • @ae102texas

straight cut gears, listen to a real race car they can whine like crazy

  • You know the reason why it sounds like that is because it's got a dog box transmission on it completely different transmission than the stock one that's why it's so noisy and why he grinds the gear for each shift (no using the clutch.)

  • @JrmE94

just safety atandards. they are safe enough, but the fact is that japan doesnt use DOT to approve the glass on the vehicle so they cant pass for that and emissions.

  • @SimpsonvilleRecords cuz of U.S. standard that the R32 fail to qualify for

  • yep forgot thats part of it too, the crash test thing

  • @MrSparco777

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

My friend also told me that a reason, for the R32 being illegal, is that they have never been crash tested in the US. That's why they are not approved ( that might be a good reason, idk).

  • and a few comments down, true on being able to make GTR RWD. some you just need to pull a fuse and some cut a wire, a guy i know has a R32 GTR and he just pulled a fuse to make it RWD

  • being in Canada where we can have JDM i'm not fully sure but ive asked a few people in the US why its illegal and i guess its just basically to support domestic manufactures, but i cant fully say how true that is

theres actually a few ways you can get one in, one is to get someone in Japan to disassemble a R32, ship it to you in parts, and you yourself in the US put it back together and use kit car laws because you basically built it, and you should be able to legally register it that way

  • Can someone explain to me why the R32s' are illegal in the U.S. ?
