~Continued from Part One~
Only just visible behind a row of trees, Canadian National freight M347 heads up the Hill Track out of Kirk Yard. C44-9W #2572 and SD70M-2 #8959 lead.
CSX SD50 #8579 and C40-8W #7867 rush west on the B&OCT with a manifest.
BNSF AC4400CWs #5679 and 5611 lug a loaded coal drag across Clark Rd.
CN M347 heads south on the EJ&E above the NS and CSX mains. Note all the empty centerbeams- these are headed for the former BC Rail at Prince George, British Columbia. The rest of the train will be broken up at Symington Yard in Winnipeg.
CSX AC4400CW #253 and HLCX SD40-2 #7156 lead the "Coke Express" train east to the US Steel mills in Gary and beyond.
Meanwhile, an NS intermodal has passed heading west on the Chicago Line.
CN GP40-2LW #9544, seen earlier in Part One of this video, finally proceeds up the Hill Track with a long local job after getting a shove from another unit on the rear. It diverges off the EJ&E main onto the long lead track known as the 'City Track', and heads east into Gary.
While the CN local passes, a run-through Canadian Pacific freight with an AC44 and two CEFX/CITX SD40-2s heads west for the BRC and Bensenville.
EJ&E SD38-2 #671 brings some loaded coil steel cars in from the mills.
Amtrak's westbound train #351, the 'Wolverine' from Detroit and Pontiac, is late as it zooms through Pine, heading for Chicago Union Station. NPCU #90200 leads, and P42DC #29 pushes.
NS C40-9W #9796 and SD60 #2532 bring what will be CN train M340 to Winnipeg- the NS units run through as far as Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
While EJ&E 671 returns from its switching duties, EJ&E 667 switches Kirk Yard, bringing a cut of cars up the Hill Track, then shoving back.
A Norfolk Southern intermodal heads west. NS C40-9Ws #9244 and 9135 are on the point.
A faster NS stack train overtakes the previous one on the right-hand track.
A CSX manifest heads up the City Track from Curtis Yard near here. This train is most likely headed for either the IHB at Indiana Harbor via the EJ&E Lakefront Branch, or into Kirk Yard to terminate. ES40DC #5392 and ex-UP, CREX C40-8 #9044 power the train. It is seen later from further down Clark Road, across one of the grassy, duneland ponds that dot the area.
