great idea, but normal video's have somewhere between 12 and 36 frames per second, so for the stopmotion effect try making about 12 pictures per second.

also the parts with the hands was a bit distracting indeed.

I liked the stop motion parts. The interference of the hands was distracting. But overall, a really cool idea.
