Ruffles (J-1) has been missing since December of 2010. Some have already declared him dead, but I refuse to believe it. Please come home, Ruffles!!

I was just in the San Juans yesterday and didnt see him, he now watches over his pod, I miss him though, even if I never saw him.

I hate to be a downer but its highly unlikely that he would leave his Mother for any other reason than to die. They also knew his health was failing this past summer...its very sad :(. He will be missed by so many!....I enjoyed your video.

It could be that Ruffles has lost her orientation.wWth all the pollution in the sea it's easy that even a killer whale lost the way to go home. I hope that she come back

I don't believe dear Ruffles is dead either.
Maybe there is a reason, like a salmon shortage, for him to feed elsewhere.

Ruffles was for me when I was little w the J pod signature whale I remember seeing him first in free willy sequences assumed it was willys mom. One time when we went whale watching I saw him and I shouted J POD!!! Thats willy`s mom! Oh god i love ruffles I miss him.
