Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment: 1 Month Update

My hair stylist said they just discovered something that the treatment does to your hair and its really bad i forgot what it was. But he told me he really said I shouldnt get it because I was thinking about it. I forogt why though?

@IFollowNickJsHeart The formaldehyde causes Cancer. So just a word of advice for whoever is considering trying this treatment (like me lol I have monstrously curly hair), make sure that what you are using is formaldehyde free- I don't want anyone here getting Cancer! Clear? Lol Alrighty- Cheers!

@f3nt0 The BKT is a non permanent treatment, just softens your hair, makes them shiny and more maneageable up to 4 months. The japanese treatment is a permanent straightening, like the chemical relaxer.

Your hair is gorgeous! Seriously considering it myself but just wondering when the treatment wore off did your hair go totally back to normal? My hair is super curly-like real ringlets (think an Irish dancer hair if you know it!!), and I don't hate it so wouldn't like to lose my curls, just want to try something different!

What's the difference between keratin treatment,(Brazilian and non-Brazilian) and teh usual rebonding treatment to straighten your hair (Japanese and non-Japanese)?

Maybe u guys r confusing it for the Japanese straightening treatment. cause that does damage certain types of hair. It ruined mine. Got it done like 2 years ago. Im getting the keratin treatment done tomorrow for $150. wooooo! cant wait.
