BRAVO.. for you to set the record straight!!!
You would not believe the products that sell on QVC and HSN...that boast "Retinol" in their skin care regime ..and try to rip us ladies off. I love you for mentioning this and I hope that women and men watch this video!!!

Thank you so much for this video! It's incredible how many companies try to fool consumers with 'miraculous' ingredients like retinol

can prescription retin A be used on the areas around the eyes? like the upper and lower eyelids to fade the fine lines? if yes does it have to be mixed with something else like a moisturizer or an eye cream?

I really appreciate this video. I went to a dermatologist for retin-a and they kept selling me retinols from skinmedica. What is frustrating is the hard sale they give me and have told me numerous times that retinol is much better than retin-a. I've now switched doctors and am switching to one who will give me the products I need (I'm almost 50) and not try to push me towards products because they are making a commission. Thanks again!

hi, i have a question, i have hyperpigmentation (from acne) and i was wondering, would retin-a or glycolic acid be more effective at lightening them?

thank you for making these helpful videos!

I've read it does, go and see what people say about retin-a on makeupalley.

Thanks for another informative video! I was wondering if the brand name Retin-A is any different from the generic Tretinoin. Thanks so much :)

@josephineratzinger Hi! I would like to know where are you from? I would like to buy Retin A but I need prescription. Thanks

can retin a be used under the eye?

Does retin a help reduce under eye wrinkles?
thank you for these videos. I use 0.5% Retin A all over my body because I have keratosis pilaris. Is it risky to use it on large areas of the body? I am from a country where I don't need prescription. I literally use a TUBE of Retin A per day because I use it for keratosis and stretch marks. So, my skin is absorbing a lot of Retin A, and I was wondering what are the risks.

@josephineratzinger The most important risk of that much Retin A would be birth defects if you use Retin A while you are pregnant (if you are a woman), which one should never do. Otherwise, I am not aware of the absorption of Retin A being problematic. However, my recommendation for KP is glycolic exfoliants, not retinoids.

is Isotretinoin a retin- A?? i've been taking it under the guidance of my dermatologist..?? does it really remove black heads and acne??
NextSuperstar88 1 year ago
@NextSuperstar88 No. Tretinoin is Retin-A. Isotretinoin is actually Accutane. It is approved for the treatment of sever, cystic, scarring, inflammatory acne. Blackheads are non-inflammatory acne. While isotretinoin stops new blackheads from forming, it does not remove old ones which either come out by themselves or can be removed by a dermatologist.

hi doctor.. actually i have read that the Retin A can be used also in the dark areas in body like (Acanthosis nigricans), can you please tell me your opinion about this
SAROOONA77 1 year ago
@SAROOONA77 Retin-A is an effective exfoliant and thus can thin and lighten thickened, darkened skin in Acanthosis Nigricans. However, Acanthosis Nigricans tends to occur in areas where skin rubs against skin (e.g., under arms). When Retin-A is used in areas like that, it's penetration is increased and therefore so is it's ability to cause irritation. Under those circumstances, it should be used very sparingly and gradually increased from use one time a week.
