Science is too complicated and requires way, way, way, way too much effort. We need people who haven't had a lot of science to help "bridge the gap" for us and explain it, so we don't have do any homework.

Yeah, kids understand magic. There's no explanation required. How did life come about? Magic! The universe? Magic! Science is more complicated because it actually gives an explanation, while saying "God did it" provides no explanation.
