There was a rumor that Tarantino was going to use "My Sharona" during the infamous "Gimp" scene. Here's how it might have looked.

  • nice job, but you cut the best part of the song!

  • Thanks! Yeah, I cut the solo because it didn't flow with the action, but I didn't edit anything else in the song and the movie scene is intact. I didn't tamper with it to fit the song at all.

  • it is insane how well this fits

  • Hey vipersquad, I loved your video so much that I mention this video in a review I wrote on PULP FICTION. I wrote "Originally Quentin was gonna use the song “My Sharona”, personally I think it would be a better choice. As a matter a fact on youtube there’s a video of the scene with “My Sharona” playing in the background, it’s something that somebody made but trust me it actually feels like the real deal."

  • @wiadran it's not thought tarantino didn't choose it. it's that the Knack didn't want it used in a violent way.

  • I wonder if that samurai sword he used was a Hatori Hanzo model...makes you wonder.

  • They never used the song because it was too funny!

  • this scene didn't really seem like it had much to do with the whole story. But still, when I heard that rumor I thought it would sound really gay and not fit, but it fit perfectly! great job!

  • Is Bruce Willis left handed?

  • gotta admit, it really does match the scene! would of never thought any thing would have fit as perfect as the one used in the original scene, but thats a very close call! good work friend!

  • That song fits this scene PERFECTLY!!! That would have been AMAZINGLY EPIC!!! Tarantino's original song choice for this scene was My Sharona by The Knack, but couldn't use it for two reasons: it was already being used in the film Reality Bites that year, and one of the original band members of The Knack was a born again christian, and didn't want the song to be used in a scene of sexual violence.

  • good work but i hate stuff like this not your editing but scenes like this if you enjoyed this scene watch scum
