  • well what ever the last game was that they played... and it wasnt just a pulled groin, it was a sports hernia.. which means u pull ur groin muscle from the bone... so bascially he couldnt make any saves where he has to go down.... im not saying that Kelowna woulda won it, but im sure he woulda stopped at least 2 of those weak goals if he was healthy...

  • @damnzebra

if he couldn't make any saves where he had to go down, i'm pretty sure they wouldn't have started him.. and if they did it's their own fault that they lost

  • The final would have prob been different if Guggenburger didnt tear his groin in the semi final...

  • @damnzebra

are you serious? because i'm PRETTY sure that kelowna didn't play in the semi-finals =).. they had a buy right into the finals and windsor had to beat rimouski in the tie breaker, and drummondville in the semi's. Kelowna's final round robin game was against windsor in which they lost 2-1 and i highly doubt he pulled his groin in that game as he looked pretty stellar.. but nice try on the poor attempt at making excuses. Windsor was better than Kelowna on that day, period.

  • this tournament may have a different result if didiomenico wasn't injured for drummondville.. tough break guys.. you gave us spits fans all we could handle in the semi's

  • @Hurley474 your saying you wouldnt do the same thing? Carrying the team through the whole playoffs and into the last game of the cup. and if you got hurt youd give it all away to your backup who hasn't played since the reg season? yea i bet you would.

  • @Hurley474

this isnt about a fans prospective, this is about a players prospective, if i was guggenburger, i probably would have done the same thing and kept it secret. This is a once in a life time chance that doesnt happen to alot of players. hell some players havent even played in the round robin let alone the final game! your goalie is your last line of defense why was that shot allowed from there? players should be taking pucks to the face for this game. goalies cant save everything u kno

  • well the fact that he didnt tell the team til the summer, cause he wanted to play that bad, no one knew that he was injured....

  • @Hurley474 yeah but he tore his groin in the semi final and didnt tell anyone... thats why he sucked so bad..

  • @Hurley474

yah that was a tough break.. but he played so well throughout the tournament.. that's what makes the memorial cup so hard to win!
