not to be picky, but I believe STAR is Standard Terminal Arrival Route, Not standard instrument arrival. Apart from that, these are excellent videos.

I'm was having trouble finding the sid's and stars on Flight Aware. They've updated their site since this tutorial was released.

I would like to recommend Flight Simulator X For Pilots-Real World Training, Instrument Flying Handbook(FAA) and Instrument Procedures Handbook(FAA). Great tools and a must if your planning on transitioning to the real world of flying. You can research the FAA books for free at FAA website. faa (dot) gov/regulations_policies/handb

Just great! You know, anyone can fly a B737 from ATL to JFK direct in FSX. And of course, when I first became a Sim Pilot, that is what I did. But that quickly grows dull. I have the PMGD 747 and I start cold and dark @ the gate. I plane my routes like a real pilot would. I print the airport diagram, the SID, STAR, APPROACH PLATE, sectionals, the works. You should see my collection of paper charts! There was a lot of info on them I didn't understand, I do now! Thank you so much!

@roby081087 It's a highattitude airway or a jetway it's like a freeway in the sky. eg you get from LAS to TBC via Jetway 76 there's vids showing how to enter it into the FMC.

@DuranXL Well thats because its where I live so its what Im familiar with. However all the charts follow the same standard so it should be the same in your neck of the woods.
