  • I was wondering how long fat injections last, as well as if any anti-biotics need to be taken with cheek implants.

  • @GalenSpring

Fat injections can last 3 months up to 10 years depending on the harvest and injection technique of the plastic surgeon. Most plastic surgeons will put their patients on an antibiotic course with any implant to reduce the risk of acute post operative infection.

  • @DrNaderi thanks for the reply. how long does a typical antibiotic course last?

  • @GalenSpring

My pleasure. About 7 days or so usually but you have to talk to your own doctor.

Hi. Sculptra is not permanent and when you do the math, the cost of Sculptra for 2 years ends up close to the cost of Perlane. Silicone is illegal in the U.S. for good reason. Artefill is the only FDA approved filler in the U.S. and it is good for small areas. Any permanent "implant" or filler can become infected but the infected permanent filler is impossible to easily remove. Safety first!

  • @DrNaderi do u use any permanent fillers sculptra, sillicone. i want a perm filler i have been doing juv 4 a long time...

Anyone with a tendency for Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation can get transient hyperpigmentation following any injection, surgery or anything that causes irritation and bruising. I like Restylane for the tear troughs followed by Juvederm Ultra. I like Juvederm Ultra Plus for the cheeks followed by Perlane and then Radiesse. The Hyaluronic acid fillers can be injected in the same area. I do combination injections of Restylane to the lip vermillion and Juvederm to red lip.

  • Hi thanks for your reply I should have been clearer the hyperpigmentation(bruise) appeared following a filler in the tear trough and is definitely not Tyndall effect as the filler was placed deep and is not blue but brown in colour. It is fading but lasted quite a long time. With regards to injecting different HA fillers in the same area like cheeks have you encountered any adverse effect? I am thinking of using mainly Juvederm from now as it seems to produce less bruising and lasts longer

Hi. I have lots of videos and I choose a different FDA approved filler for each patient depending on their needs, anatomy and budget. I LOVE Juvederm Ultra Plus and Perlane for the cheeks. I also like Radiesse but Radiesse is not as smooth and pleasant as Perlane or Juvederm Ultra Plus. When Artefill came out, I tried that in the cheeks as well but quickly stopped because the risks did not outweight the benefits in my opinion. Hyperpigmentation requires skincare, not fillers

  • Hello Dr Naderi I have seen your previous video re liquid lift using Perlane but now you advocate Juvederm Ultra is that the thickest formulation aka Juvederm 4 in Europe? I have listened to you explanation in the beginning of the video but which is you personal preference Juvederm or Perlane? Any tips re how to treat prolonged hyperpigmentation in the tear trough area? Would you use Juvederm in the same area where you used Perlane ie top up within 2 months, as the companies advise not to
