@enilegnave21 Bravo! A brilliant statement on the enormous talent of Jimmy Webb. His songs are treasures and he performs them with the clarion voice of an ordinary man expressing real emotion. I never tire of him and his music.

Jimmy Webb is truly talented and along with Paul Williams form the two greatest songwriters ever - their chord progressions are superb.

There must be mystical magic and divine inspiration at work in this man for him to have such acuity and clarity of vision to cut to the heart of something with such power that it can reach into the soul and extract emotions and tears. I wonder in awe at this turn of phrase... and though he is no singer; his voice is crystalline and resounds with the heart of the poet he is and that is enough.

I've heard this song sung by others --and always loved it-but this performance by Jimmy Web!!-the writer of the song--is trancendent!! Exceptional! thank you for posting this!!!!!!!!
