That 's strange. I never got that message. I bought some stuff on Friday evening--the day Standard and Poors downgraded U.S. Debt. As you may recall, the following monday, the prices really took off.

Because APMEX is in the OLD Fedderal Reserve building!
-
Perhaps because of the new Hong Kong precious metal exchange, things move on the weekend now.
-
How does this effect bitcoins?
-
@jsmythib That's the way it normally is.
-
Looks like trading is open, they will only lock in your price for TEN minutes tho
-
APMEX makes money on the spread from buying and selling. They do not make money by speculating. This is a reasonable policy considering Friday aftermarket downgrade of US debt and expected market volatility once markets open again.

Thanks for posting!
Someone with an account should see if this happens with other silver coins instead of just eagles. but the message seems clear that they wont be doing any trades until the market opens

@MrPointspread You don't need an account to see this message. You are asked to sign in after you view your shopping cart. So you can see for yourself, but as far as I can tell it's for everything on their site.
