hickok, if you had to choose for a carry weapon, would you prefer a J-frame like this or one of the small .380 ACP pocket automatics? I guess it's basically a slimness vs reliability issue, I need to purchase a small concealed carry gun in the near future, but a lot of the .380 ACP pocket guns, while they look and feel cool and conceal very easily, do not inspire the greatest confidence in me for reliability when one would need it the most.

The 642 is my first gun, so I don't have much experience. How do I shoot the thing without getting a bruise between my thumb and index finger? Seems like quite a recoil to me. Maybe I'm just not holding it correctly?

@jsciba2007 , Just get a firm grip on it. It might help to shoot it more, too, if you can.

Nice vid! Nice shooting! I'm prejudiced of course... that's my rig exactly: pre-lock 642 in a black Kramer hoster. :) But regardless... clean presentation, balanced (short) discussion of the lock issue, good audio. Thanks man.
