This brings back so many good memories, Elite was one of the best games I played, the first buy was always the docking computer, docking was a bitch. You had to keep your nose clean or landing became almost impossible with the police chasing you down. Ratsoncats was right the cargo you caught with the fuel scoops was 9 times out of 10 always dang slaves, Me and a friend both got to Elite and we sent off to Bluebird for our Elite Badges have mine still knocking around here somewhere. Good days..

@IncisalEdges I think that means he achieved a certain number of kills - 128 or 256 or something along those lines. The first one bumps you up to Mostly Harmless but you need loads to be Elite.

This is some ultimate shit right here.

@cpmisalive I got the message "RIGHT ON COMMANDER" after a kill on my cousin's saved game back in the 80s. Does that mean he had reached Elite?

brings back so many memories. Made Elite twice, the Tape version, then the disk version...with missions... but a TUBE...oh man, there would be someone with money. Only a dream for a schoolboy like me... funny thing with watching this clip, so many memories, as soon as you headed to collect the cargo...I knew it would be slaves. Always a great way screw a clean rating!

Still got the BBC B too!

Best game ever, played it for days on end on my BBC B. Managed to get to 'Dangerous'
All time classic. I never reached Elite...only Deadly. I think you have to shoot over 1,000 ships to get to Elite!

I think you've got quite a way to go. In order to reach Deadly, you have to destroy 2,816 ships/asteroids/missiles etc. to get to Elite you need 6,912 kills... another 4,096!
RIGHT ON COMMANDER!
