Amaka Unaka, originally from Southern California, is a School Administrator at the KIPP Ascend Charter School in Chicago, Illinois. KIPP is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. Among many other things, Amaka enforces KIPP's school behavior expectations, coordinates social and emotional services for students, collaborates with teachers regarding classroom management, and creates partnerships with community organizations.

I love KIPP for everything that I have become. My name is Patricia Estes and I am apart of KIPP Ascend's first graduating class (2011). I am now on track to attend the University of Illinois. God bless you for putting in time. It is truly worth it because trust me I know, I am the ending result.
