  • That's why master don't waste time with ppl who don't understand, and think just because you have won something in the ring, then you are a great fighter. It just so obvious, I will only fight when I am in danger.. the journey to mastering self is within self, not the art of bashing someone else and bring home a medal or some prize.

  • some just don't understand that martial arts is not a sport. Its an art for killing and maiming, all the ppl fight in the rings with gloves? What for? Take off your gloves and the rules and really fight, and u will know how fast you will get hurt.just that fighting a true master will bring you down 10x more painful and 10x more faster. You want a real fight? How's death sounds to you??

  • I have come up with an efficent way to end all mma ring fight trash talk on these traditional arts channel. Just gunn them all down with a rifle, they'll know how powerful their brute force physical strengths really are.

  • @Terryltk Therefore, the purpose of martial art is not to kill, but to improve physical health or to be effective in competition with rules, which is sport. I know some would argue that certain martial art is best at killing without weapon. But if one fails in a competition due to weaker strength, reaction, resistance, even one has some deadly dirty techniques, it is totally useless in mordern society.

  • @Terryltk Fighting without rule does not exist. Every martial art makes some assumptions about the fighting circumstances. It is only in these limited circumstances, martial art is effective. So, it does not make sense to say, without rule, my martial art is the most effective. In fact, without rule, any martial art will fail miserably against mordern fire weapon.

  • @Terryltk "Martial art is not for sport competition but for killing." This sounds cool at first but is actually flawed. The most effective way to kill is to use atomic bomb. Even gun is much more efficient at killing than martial art. In mordern society, most martial art masters never kill anyone. If they also don't participate competition, there is no way to know whether their skills are effective. This is like to claim self to be a swim master without ever swim in water.

  • i like the super slow-mo at the end

  • because the chinese saying : If you are a bad student - your sifu/ master/ trainer is at fault - when i say bad or unlearned it means one who has " lots of skills" but has no morality and no cultivation of self. the difference on the "product" of the sifu is either a human being with high morals or a senseless egoistic fighting animal. Thus as i know in chinese martial arts the sifus teach because it is part of chinese culture - the more skills you have the higher morality you should possess.

  • .. don't be mistaken because i have certainly heard of sifus or masters or sensei who can't fight but some of them know how to cultivate self compared to teaching how to break people's arm or beat up a guy with kicks and punches..the difference is what kind of masters or sifus

  • .. the methods of fighting maybe the same but the reasons and intentions for it i may say some are honorable and some may not be..sometimes we confuse ourselves on both...so again what was the purpose of learning the art of fighting, is it hurt someone or to cultivate oneself? that makes a difference between a sifu and a prized fighter, or a learned martial artist and a hooligan with many "skills" to beat someone

  • @mayoolkosw good.. so it means if you are a great fighter in the ring it doesn't make you a great fighter outside the ring because i have certainly heard of a lot of so-called champions in the ring getting whacked in real life...so when do we really need to "fight"..it is when our life is in danger not when we are in the ring glorifying ourselves with our ego to beat someone down

  • @Terryltk If you won something in the ring you acually is a great fighter, I dont understand why some ppl think you are not? But that dont mean you have a great understanding of fighting. So call master usually have great understanding of the art or fighting but don't necessary mean he will be a great fighter.
