Dr. Moses Powell shows us his SHIATSU TECHNIQUES...
Videotaped at his old school, When Worlds Collide, on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn NY. Grandmaster Powell will be remembered by all who had the honor of meeting him.

He was born on January 13, 1941 in Norfolk, Virginia to Athenia and Moses Powell. A 10th degree black belt, has studied martial arts for over 45 years. He is a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame and the World Karate Hall of fame. He was the first Black man to instruct the Secret Service and the F.B. I. The Benin Empire of West Africa awarded him the International Benin Award in 1972 for his community work and efforts throughout the world. He died on: 1/22/05. The lighter side of him is missed the most. Evoking humor while training soldiers and demonstrating submission chokes.
Ukes [disciples] honored to be touched by him.
He said: "If I touch you, you can forget it, I have you."

  • Dr. Moses made me laugh, what if the guy got mad & cursed. Wow, Dr. Moses would've been extra calm & made him suffer more. Is this another form of Akido? I'm to old to do the flips, but i like the hand movement, i rather do some form of trapping, but i love the style of this art.

  • everytime i see this, i feel for grandmaster simms, i know the feeling still til this day
