One of my favorite scenes (and there are oh so many) from the film adaptation of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
For the longest time, I thought I'd hate this movie based on the title alone. On watching it, I was completely blown away. I never did understand why people always made such a fuss about Elizabeth Taylor, until I saw her in this film.
Absolutely wonderful movie. If you've never seen it, I can't recommend it enough.

Great film.So intense and Richard and Elizabeth are awsome. How Richard didn't get an Oscar for this is beyond me.

This is what put her onto the level of Garbo and Hepburn.

I love this film because it was filmed in the normal part of the country.

I've read that they had wanted Bette Davis for the part of Martha and I just can't imagine it. Bette Davis would've looked too old, and her acting style was obviously rather antiquated by 1966. Elizabeth Taylor's acting was more modern, and more grounded in my opinion.

I'm always impressed beyond words by actors who can pull off characters much older than themselves.

I believe it went to the English actor Paul Scofield for his portrayal of Sir Thomas More for his role in "A Man For All Seasons".
