Really great video. I have my 83 father-in law who moved in and he was not very active. We now have him doing the stuff in your video 3 times a week along with some band work and it has only been 1 month and he acts and moves like he is years younger. Great work.

Never, ever, EVER use a folding chair to do any kind of exercise.

@annebanned As I replied above, there are many types of folding chairs, and the new ones are very stable, light and comfortable - offering a (much needed) wider seat and even a little 'give' that enables my participants to get a great workout and the facility to easily to accommodate other activities.

Please do not promote chair exercise in a folding chair. It is common knowledge that they are not stable and do not offer proper lumbar support.
A straight-back chair is is most suitable for this type of exercise.

@StrongerSeniors Thank you so much for your comment. I agree with you- some chairs (folding or otherwise) are not safe to exercise in, however almost all of the facilities that offer chair classes HAVE to have folding chairs in order to hold the class at all - e.g. YMCA. I teach at an upscale assisted living facility who have just ordered new folding chairs for their classes that are extremely stable and the residents like them very much.

This approach on senior people is interesting when you use the ball for core stabilization.
