  • In Trinidad and Tobago our minister of planning was a blonde irish lady..too bad she got fired last tuesday for corruption.

    I grew up in Trinidad seeing lots of irish priests in the dominican order and some served as principals or teachers in the catholic schools.

    Interestingly a few irish landowners came to Trinidad from the other west indian islands to take advantage of the spanish "cedula of population" of the 1770s/1783.

    Then as the island became a british colony a few irish came.
