In my opinion it is not the age but the maturity level of the individual. I have always gravatated toward old men. Most of my the guys I dated in the past were anywhere from 5 to 20 years older than me. My partner is 11 years older than me. We compliment each other pretty well. So I think with the right person it could work.

I want you see a Happy Gay couple LONG TERM that are aged 21 and 32 at YouTube NCweb76 . They are Nick and Jesse and they just had a commitment ceremony with rings. They've been happy for 2 years together now. Age mean nothing in LOVE!!! Boys gain their Pre-Frontal Cortex in their brain at age 20 so they have rational reasoning by that age. So it's OK and safge for you at over age 30.
