Library Director, Peggy Bendroth interviews Professor David D. Hall in January 2012 on his new book, A reforming people : Puritanism and the transformation of public life in New England.
The conversation is divided into four sections. In this first section, Peggy asks Professor Hall about his reasons for writing this book and how he put it together, then to discuss the misconceptions around calling early Colonial New England a theocracy.
