  • The tip is to know where the pieces go (that are taken off) and where exactly the coarse heights were. The nail heads make for easy alinement to the remaining courses. It's a "leave no trace" method of remodeling.

    Keeping track this way can also prevent running short. So when you make cuts (and all that's there is what you've taken off). Cutting the wrong piece could mean having buy new vinyl (that often doesn't match). Give it a try and it's essentially the same work to do anyway. Just with
