@JaJoToNi Yeah I know JaJoToNi. I have all of Mayfields collection like "I'm So Proud,"we're A Winner, "Freddies Dead" and the rest.We even toured with some guys that knew his band back in the early 70's. Shortly after my guitar player joined BOOTSY collins and went on several tours. Then my alto sax player went on tour with BB King. After that ae signed a record deal with a subsid of Columbia Records. See ya. allend

I've been singing this my whole life. Who's it by?? I thought I had heard it once before, when I was 3-4 and my mother occasionally would hum it. I'm glad I found it, it's a message they tend not to preach where I'm from. But thanks for posting
