Very inspirational Phil. I've been laid up for quite awhile with a fracture of my lower back. I use to be able to palm the floor. Now, if I can touch my ankles when I first wake up, that's a miracle. I'll do a half hour of yoga, I can at least touch the floor (can't palm it-but I can touch it). Thanks for the hope.

very nice post. Unfortunately, I injured my neck which has required 2 surgeries. My competition days are over. But I still train strictly technique with no "rolling." I can't afford another injury. I'm just thankful that I can at least still learn and practice

the techniques.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at a seminar in South Jersey recently. He was amazing! Both, his skill and ability to teach, were just extraordinary. He truly is a role model and an ambassador that Jiu Jitsu should be proud of!
