great voice, absolutely amazing, but when it is hard exploited it gets weaker
-
@dadadadasad I think David lost some power, that's why that note wasn't too convincing
-
@mattandamypierce "...he only holds that last note for about 9 seconds...." Yeah! 9 seconds on that note is ONLY.. but I agree! He wasn't on the top this night, clearly! But still a great performance!

Hello ansajull
yes the" live" exerience there was wonderful.
And one could see also that David is a warm personallety also.
And the musicans was very good also.

Oh, Father. May that day come soon by Your grace.

@Uffebas57 Oh my god, I didn't know they had been in Sweden!!!!! I would give almost everything to se David "live"........yes it must have been an unforgettable concert :)

@suzare - definitely, good call on the illness. Listen to almost any other version of this on youtube, and you can tell he was way below par that night. Not only is he singing 1/2 step lower than usual, as one other person commented, but he only holds that last note for about 9 seconds, instead of 14. You can hear him break off the note because he can tell it's about to get away from him.

@dadadadasad Probably because that note would destroy that building haha.

Gaither Vocal Band came to Tulsa right after this...and only about 6 people performed. None of the Gaither Vocal Band was there. It was a disappointment. FIrst Gaither Vocal Band concert I'd ever been able to go to. Hope they can come back to Tulsa and this time bring the REAL members of the crew..and not use some substitutes. Those three guys sitting there were there..as was the black woman. No one else, but Bill.

Nice video - thanks for posting! I have listened to David Phelps enough to say that he sounds like maybe he was sick. I read of him having pneumonia on one of the tours and still performing and I can hear it in his voice that he has some kind of chest illness. Can you imagine singing this well when you were sick? He's a superstar for God.
He sings so wonderful!
