  • I was born Scottish

    I Will die Scottish

I am so proud of my country

for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

  • You know I have Scottish ancestors of the Mar clan. Sometimes When I listen to bagpipers play even tho its a land I never set foot on. I get homesick for Scotland when I was born and raised in the us. Some people Say Im foolish while many from their act like its quite normal. I guess it doesn't Matter where your from or who you are when your family has past their. You will always here the bagpipes call and feel homesick a bit even when your at home. Well played indeed.

  • How does a beautiful dirge end up with people fighting about England and Scotland? This is a extremely meaningful song to many people, Scottish or not. And it allways will be.

  • @zhaster That's great! I appreciate that! But I bet you would not be able to write this text in Gaelic! The English have been ruling for centuries and the last Celtic languages are dying. Very sad. You should do everything to revive your language. The survival of Gaelic and Gaelic speakers should be top priority in Scotland and Ireland.

  • if this doesnt swell you with pride then your no scot !!

  • I could listen to that all day

  • @freshD1806 hear
