Watford's Mayor Dorothy Thornhill and M.P. Richard Harrington were thrown in prison this morning with a bail price of £500. Far from being arrested however, the pair were raising money for The Peace Hospice by volunteering to be locked up at Rickmansworth Police Station.
Along with hospice chairman Stuart Nagler, the trio raised about £2,500 through sponsorship before their release.
