Holland Circle Landslide - Irene - Sparta, NJ

my comment at the end "...and there's nobody here to do the clean up" has to do with the Viersma's and Not the town police department. Bob Viersma of Viersma Excavating built the houses, own the remaining property, and are responsible for maintaining the rest of the development. the landslide occurs causing us to evacuate during hurricane Irene and the next day as we're blocked in (no emergency vehicles could get to our house either), the earth moving equipment is sitting around with the Viersma's no where to be found

How's it going there? Did the developer or the town ever show up to help out?

I've been wondering how the previous hill collapse (in 2000) was handled by the builder and realtors when Eagle's Nest went in. Did they disclose it, or downplay it, or hide it? It seemed that some local realtors were avoiding even showing the houses, but out-of-town realtors might have been unaware,
