Mission Beach San Diego offers free beach wheelchairs to handicapped people who wish to go out on the beach and also in the Pacific Ocean. The free beach wheel chair rentals are part of a program run by the City of San Diego where anyone can rent a wheel chair for one hour at a time year around. The winter hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:30AM to 3:30PM. In the summer time the free beach wheel chairs are available from 11:30AM to 4:30PM on weekdays and until 5:30PM on weekends.
