In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed...
When the sparrows stop their singing
And the sky is clear and red

When the summer's ceased it's gleaming
When the corn is past it's prime...
When adventure's lost it's meaning
I'll be homeward bound in time...

Bind me not to the pasture!
Chain me not to the plow!
Set me free to find my calling!
And I'll return to you... somehow

If you find it's me you're missing;
If you're hoping I'll return
To your thoughts I'll soon be listening
In the road I'll stop, and turn

Then the wind will set me racing
As my journey nears it's end
And the path I'll be retracing
Til I'm homeward bound again

Bind me not to the pasture!
Chain me not to the plow!
Set me free to find my calling!
And I'll return to you somehow.

In the quiet misty morning,
When the moon has gone to bed.
When the sparrows stop their singing...

I'll be homeward bound,
Again.

  • erm.. no offence, but the voice quality is airy n not warm... needs work. Could be bad recording.. LOLs

  • it was done in only five days with sixth(yeah, young uns don't usually have great tone) through 12th graders

So no offense taken :) we tried.

  • this is really good...

but you could put more emotion to it...

  • The kids from my highschool already knew it, but everyone else in the choir only had four days to do it...So they were probably focusing on other things? I agree with you though. This song means the word to me.

  • who was the teacher talking and what chorus is this

  • The chesapeake summer chorus program for students 6th through 12th held at oscar smith high.

The teacher is Mr. Parrish, the best choral director ever, duh xD
