@SonicOrbStudios okay, thanks, its nice to have an opinion of a pro :) my friend has the us-800, and it works well as an multitrack interface!

@SonicOrbStudios Okay thanks,
I was already thinking of selling the mixer and buying an interface,
Wich would be the cheapest for 6 mics?

@ThePurpleDrumStick Ditch the mixer and swap out for an audio interface like the PreSonus FP10. Something with at least 6 mic inputs and firewire output that will keep each input separate when sending to the computer. That way you can get the best sound out of the tracks in post-production.

Hey,
I record drum with 6 mics,
and now use a behringer mixer,
but i want to record multi track.
Whats the cheapest option?

@ThePurpleDrumStick well a mixer is usually cheaper but it's not ideal at all....If you want the best sound, save up and you'll be far happier in the end with an interface.
General rule of thumb is:
Interface for recording
Mixer for live shows/events
There are digital mixers like the PreSonus StudioLive or the Mackie Onyx units but really, those are built around just getting a rough mix of a live event. If you want to record in a studio, get an interface.

@ThePurpleDrumStick I highly suggest anything by Focusrite. I own a PreSonus FP10 but am not happy with the drivers on the PC side. Reports say it works best on the Mac side but I run PCs at this time. At the end of the year I may be running an iMac but right now, I think Focusrite is a far better choice overall as the quality of built, driver stability, and analog/digital converters are much higher end.
Quality does not come cheap, but better products last longer and will work better.

@ThePurpleDrumStick Also, I don't have experience with the 800 but have been eyeing the Focusrite Saffire PRO 40. Usually, USB interfaces mix down audio tracks before sending it all to the computer so you loose the ability to add different compressors to different mics in the mix in post-production. Firewire is slightly unstable at times but is far better overall for audio interfaces and video cameras still....in my opinion...
