When I heard (over the week-end) that the Concordia is owned by Carnival Cruise Lines I was NOT surprised. Carnival must have the world's WORST record for poorly maintained ships! They are always catching on fire or running out of gas. IMHO, Anyone foolish enough to book a holiday on one of these buckets is asking for trouble.
I'm guessing the captain was drunk but it seems obvious that he is a coward.
