@bolelij I am not as familiar as I would like with all Ethiopian traditions, but there is much about this that resembles some of the Egyptian music I have heard. (I know very little Arabic and nearly no Amharic.) The saxaphone definitely suggested early twentieth-century Egyptian styles that I have heard. Clearly the cultures of Egypt and Ethiopia have some of the same roots and have been subject to some of the same external influences and borrowings.

how can this not sound ethiopian? Everything from the beats to the vocals is soo like the older ethiopian songs.

Thanks for your comment, Ashangulit. People need to sometimes shut up and just appreciate good music when they see it. This is Ethiopian culture. That does not mean it is the only type of Ethiopian culture. Tigray is Ethiopia. Amhara is Ethiopia. Oromia is Ethiopia. And so on. Just appreciate good music.

Okay, I'm a little puzzled here. This does not sound like anytrhing else Ethiopian that I have heard. From which ethnic group does this come? It sounds almost Arabic, in the vocal style, rythm and instrumentation.
