Everquest Lake of Ill Omen

Lake of Ill Omen, one of the most famous zones in the game. Some say it is the best all around xp zone in the game. It was very populated during peak hours, there were many places to xp at, and there was a very wide level range. Connected to FM, FV, and not too far from OT, it was very centrally located which probably helped its popularity.

it is kinda weird now that you bring it to my attention. I do remember there being a plethora of mobs especially between the lake and the windmill, but I guess they cut down on the mobs in the zone for some reason, not sure. SOE does alot of retarded shit, I won't try to understand it :)

Relive all those classic moments in old world EQ! Google Project 1999! The other night there were almost 1000 people logged in! Community is great! The GMs are very active and any bugs are wiped out asap! Its been wonderful being back in Norrath!

most innovative time consuming interesting best game i've ever played. god i miss this remember having 36 days played and being like level 30 when kunark came out. soloing stuff on my warrior then sitting for 30mins to regen my HP lol so retarded yet the exploration of this game was the funnest thing ever. and killing those giants in frontier moutains with my dwarf. best times ever.

I played EQ starting in Phase 4 beta and played right up until Velious was released.

I'm almost 40 now and my romance with mmo's burnt out a while ago. I knew it was dead when I felt nothing playing Rift. Now looking back at it all I know now what I miss most. Running through an area and being shit my pants ready because if I died I was screwed.

Biggest memories of Everquest: "Can I have some SOW?", or dying and before I can recover my courpse, the server would go down. Then there's the classic: never having enough memory on my computer to catch up with the expansions....come to think of it, I really didn't have any big memories of Everquest! LOL great video.
