Jakobsson's Flader: I can't really put the umlaut over the "a" so it's not exactly the traditional spelling for Flader. However, this is a review on the Flader, and overall, I enjoy this snus. Like I mentioned in the video, it's much different than any other snus out there that I've tried thus far. Enjoy the video and go out and try some. Let me know what you think of it.

  • ok, I live in sweden, on gotland in fact. and just 2 things.

    1. snus is not traditionally flavoured, its something they started with maybe 5-10 years ago. and gotlandssnus (now jakobssons) has just been around for a few years.

    2. as many others has said, fläder is elder. not the berrys, but the flowers that are somehow dryed or something. we make lemonade of it too. google teanslate can be a good thing.

  • @kyrastube Thanks for the input. I would have used translate, but I had forgotten how to put the umlaut over the "a" so it may have not given me the translation anyway. That's interesting that Gotlandssnus has only been around for a short amount of time. I was under the impression that they were an older company that is now Jakobsson's... I guess I should have used wikipedia first hahaha. Thanks!

  • "Fläder" is Elder (the bush), so it doesn't mean "green"

  • @davidronaldandband I definitely should have used the translate first, that's for sure. I had looked to try and find some information on the snus, and the snuscentral website was what I used for my reference as I mentioned in the video and that's what they said.

  • Never had jackobsson's fläder, but I had the gotlandssnus green/fläder which is the same thing just before the name change. It's an "apple" type snus.

Gotlandssnus "green" is the same thing exact thing as jackobsson's fläder. They basically just changed the name and can type.

Jackobsson's actually just came out with the mint and wintergreen, before they were basically just "classic" and their Icefruit flavorings.

    Fläder directly translate to "elder".

  • @cnashx Thanks bro, I realized that after I said it about the mint and the wintergreen. At that point, I didn't feel like recording a whole new video. So thanks for picking that up.

  • @Salutatorium hmm, next time I have one, I'll try and explore the flavor a bit more and see it I can taste it. It is definitely interesting. I'm glad I tried it, for sure.

  • @pappadopolos yeah, fläder. I can't remember how to put the umlaut over the letters. Thanks!
