One question.. how did you start it? Because its not with an overhand knot, or is this just at the end that you do this?

This is an excellent tutorial, Thank you so much, I've been putting on cord ends, but just adds cost and is rinky. I couldn't figure out the switch knot until I watched this. Thank you

I don't get how the loop at the top is only 1 strand. I know you double over the strings, but then shouldn't the loop at the top be 2 strands? Since we're working with 4 strands.

love this video

@xxxGetCrunkkk It depends on the thickness of hemp you get, for really thin hemp it can be like $5 for 133.3yds/121.9M and it's about $10 for really thick hemp, I don't know how much comes with it though, but it's a lot!:)

or... a ring???
The loop in this video is formed by taking the strand and folding it in half, then tie the knots.

The clasp is best using square knots. You can use half knots, but it might look a little weird (to me anyway) because of the switching part. And generally if you aren't liking the result this early in the piece, it's easy enough to just untie it and start over again.

Yeah, I know, that part was vague. If my other responses up above don't help, let me know.
