@XDMEGA Any system can handle any amount of players, its up to the developers to incorporate all the tricks to save torque both on the engine and the server, the hardware in the console is simply what handles the engine.

@jayquan17ify Devs said so. PS3 can handle even more players, MAG, if you heard of it, is a 256 Multiplayer game.

@listener523 I need to understand the dynamics of this universe and hopefully there will be some better explanation of the workings involved especially with how FPSs will impact these regions of the Eve universe. I understand that there is a beta running on this game right now for eve online players only. Any insight from other players on its progress? What is the word? Do they feel threatened that ground forces will disrupt their economies?

@strke4ce there is an awful lot of depth to the gameworld. I've been playing Eve for about 2 years and am just starting to get into the larger game (sov space which is player owned) to a degree where my actions matter. I mean there are definately sweet kills to be had. But there is a broader social and economic game at work.

@listener523 Wow. I had no idea. You may be right about that. I bring that "top dog FPS player" mentality to an arena that may have many different variables that I was not aware of. I have already considered buying a brand new PS3 specifically dedicated for this game to consolidate memory for the long haul. I stopped buying other games in preparation for this one. Thank you for the input. Your note got my attention. Much appreciated. =)

@KaylinJH They had always intended it to be for both systems. I think microsoft being it's greedy self passed up something really good.

@smaug131 ? not at all buddy, the game is meant to be free to play online, xbox wouldn't drop the charges for xbox live so CCP said we will go to ps3

@Clod15 and why it didn't work with xbox was because microsoft was stupid enough to "close" their platform, so you can't play online on your xbox with people who play on the ps3, for example. look at counterstrike, the people with a ps3 can play with people with a pc, but those with a xbox can only play with people who have a xbox too.

but for Dust514 is a connection with a pc crucial, so it isn't possible to add it to the xbox
