A tribute to Stevie,Collins and Jason.

"Hmm.... Jason Becker and Allen Collins are certainly great, but SRV is the most influential guitar player of all the 25 years and he is the only guitar player along with EVH to bring the biggest guitar revolution since Jimi Hendrix and he bridged the gap between blues and rock and roll like nobody since the 1960's. Not to mention that he is the 2nd guitar player in history to win 3 awards in one year as the best guitar player of the year and many other things... SRV is in top 5 best of all time. What I mean to say is that none of those guys can even hold a candle to SRV.
SRV is a guitar god and one of a kind, where those others are just very good guitar players. "

  • I don't agree with your choice of title... What about all the unknown guys that are/were exceptional but never got aired? What about session musicians? Orchestral performers? What about guitarists who play in a genre that you don't like, do we discount their ability just because we were brought up listening to different styles? "My tribute to my three favorite guitarists" should be the title. And they're not mine...

  • weres jimi and stevie ray?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Jason Becker is absolutely de greatest guitarist ever

  • I need title of the songs here. Help me, please !

  • @LifeByTheDrop LOL!!

  • @Secondlifecreator - I respect your perspective. We all have reasons for our opinions. When Beck emerged in '65 there was no-one like him (still isn't - just ask Clapton, Page, Satriani, Vai, McLaughlin, Gibbons... ). Ditto Hendrix. Wow! That wasn't the case (for me and many) w/SRV. He could play, sure, but we'd already heard Hendrix, Albert King, and Peter Green, so SRV was nothing new. True, Peter Green wasn't unique, but he was 'new' when I was 14... So timing has much to do with opinion.

  • @MrCherryJuice

Srv is by far one of the few guitarist that master a technique playing throughout properly the history of guitar playing. That man set a new standard....could not cut it?

Get the hell out of here lol

  • Fag list, faggot.

  • Kinghardyon has the right idea. The best ones are the ones you haven't heard yet. Page didn't cut it (sorry, kids), Clapton is good but often boring, SRV really couldn't cut it when you put him next to someone like Beck (Jeff Beck, that is), Vai is sensational, but waaaaayyyyy over the top. Satriani has the idea but the sounds and the rhythm sections are cliche. Slash has the idea... but instead of boozing all those years he should have been practicing. Hendrix? Great records, not great onstage.

  • allen?

    try page and clapton

    hendrix-stevie-page

slash isnt even in the top 10. stop postings "and where is slash?"

that guy is good but hes much worse than many other guys

  • ALLEN IS MY PICK ; THEN SRV ; THEN HENDRIX ; it' s none of your damn business how many posts i make jack ass me off
