No kips! To make it more realistic, you could easily start with the Shaposhnikova and go from there. You'd still have an SV of 7.0

  • love it! but with 4 E's (toe on 1.5, komova, ling 1/2, mustafina), 4 D's, 1.3 in bonus the D score should be a 7.4, no?

  • @backflipboy27 True, thank you for the correction. When I made this video, Komova had yet to submit the in-bar Shaposhnikova so I assumed it was a D, as the CoP had rated other close-bar entry Shaposhnikovas

  • Am I right in thinking that Beth Tweddle only has 1 kip in her bar routine? She's probably the closest to this routine of anyone?

  • @TsubasaDreams Haha, they have terrible form, but everything else they do is phenomenal (well, for Aliya). I noticed in a video in slow-motion why Aliya crosses her legs and it's because (as opposed to just crossing her ankles for better rotation and whatnot) she twists with only her upper body and not her entire body causing her leg to wrap over the other. I'm guessing Tatiana's the same way. And I really like Aliya's 3.5 and Amanar. The form doesn't bother me too much.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 It's a shame really that the code created this. The focus on big skills over execution leads to the teaching of these advanced skills before a mastery of the basics. Look at Aliya Mustafina and Tatiana Nabieva. Mustafina's legs are bent and crossed at the knee on her twisting elements and has no business doing 3.5 twists or Amanars. Nabieva's block on her vault is enough to make me cry.

  • @TsubasaDreams Oh, haha! Yes, the Chinese. They really lost their technique after compulsories left. Can't imagine why. They need Bi and Mo to come back and re-teach them kips.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Hahah true! But it could be used for gymnasts who have form trouble on their kips or use bad technique on their kips. *cough, cough* Chinese *cough, cough* I made this routine after someone on the IG Forum was wondering about a routine without kips
