i just put a new head gasket timing chains guides and tensioners, rod bearings etc. this is the first start and it sounds pretty loud. scanned it and it said fuel injector malfunction, could that be the reason for the noise. and btw i checked the lifters and they seemed fine

  • @SpaceGhost711 yeah thank you i believe thats what it is, i did lube it up but ur right hopefully it gets sorted out. i cant run it for too long with no radiator which i cant put on til i throw the new injector in. we will see!

  • Maybe didn't use enough assembly lube. Did you let the part soak in oil? When I did a cam/lifer swap, mine was noisey for about 5-7 minutes before it quited down, nice lope too until the ECU sorted things out
